Hello - I am re-adding the {{unreferenced}} tag to the 615 Music article. The 2 links provided aren't sufficient for the article to meet verifiability guidelines, as one link is to the company itself, and another is just a list of their music. Please cite information for the article's content itself using reliable sources, or leave the tag intact until proper sources are provided. Thanks --AbsolutDan (talk) 16:30, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

News music

[edit]

Please stop adding news music information to the various TV station articles. The consensus at Wikipedia:WikiProject Television Stations is that theme music is not encyclopedic. Kirjtc2 17:57, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I second this. It's complete cruft. Every news geek knows of Southernmedia's NMSA and most average TV viewers do not care about the music used on newscasts. Ntropolis 21:15, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Right Here, Right Now nominated for deletion and please don't overwrite redirects with articles

[edit]

The page was a redirect to disambuigation page because it has many meanings, don't overwrite it with an article, but create a new page. KittenKlub 08:34, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Right Here, Right Now (news package), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Right Here, Right Now (news package). You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Metropolis (news music), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. A tag has been placed on Daily News (news music), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Malc82 22:05, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Counterpoint (news music), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Counterpoint (news music). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
